For some odd reason, my post rant about my dislike about apple refuses to die. To this day ‘fuck apple’ is the fourth highest search term that leads to our blog. Searching for this term on Google I realized just how ignorant that post paints our blog out the be. So to correct this I’m going to revisit this topic and elaborate and recant a little.
Apple’s soul and structure was very carefully built and fleshed out by that of the late Steve Jobs. From him it developed its obsessive attention to detail and simplicity. Styling among all has remained prevalent from the very first Apple product, the Apple I, to the unrivaled (be real people) styling of the Apple iPhone 4/s. All in all, their rise to fame, their innovation, their stamp in history, is in their ability to make technology fashionable. They brought the entire world of technology to the fashion realm. There are more android phones out there than I am willing to count but none of them has the social foothold that the iPhone has had or will have. Windows computers come in all shapes and sizes but which ones are actually known by name? How many times have you seen a kid with a Dell being called a “Hipster” or “cool kid”? Having an Apple product is a status. This status is essentially the problem I have with them.
A large majority of the people you talk to about Apple products either, don’t know why they like them over their competitors, or are blinded by having a status symbol in their possession that they become elitists and ignore Apple’s shortcomings. Apple is far from perfect. They borrowed many of their ideas and were hardly ever the first company to do anything. They were simply the first company to do it in a fashionable way. Revolutionaries vs innovators. Get over that.
Does this take away from their legacy? Without Apple so many things would not have came to fruition for some time. For instance, Windows wouldn’t have advanced as fast as it did, apps would not be what they are today, tablets would not be sweeping the nation. Apple did so much for every single one of us regardless of how much you care to admit it. Steve Jobs was a genius and a man with a vision that he refused to let go and all of us should be grateful for that. But open your eyes and be more aware of what is you are thankful for.
And just for the record, Google has recently been in the game of competing with EVERYBODY and blocking startup opportunities. So fuck Google. Microsoft has always been in the business of screwing people over so fuck Microsoft. (Really ask yourself who you would really want setting the price for a product, Apple or Microsoft).

I’d still say, “Fuck Apple!” Having worked in the computer support field for quite some time, I’ll never, ever buy anything from Mac. I’ve supported that shit, and it’s a nightmare. For all of Microsoft’s shortcomings, I’ve had far fewer problems supporting it than I have OSX. I have more control over a traditional PC, in both hardware and software. As for “innovation”, the worst thing about Apple? Microsoft is starting to adopt their bullshit. Seen Windows 8? It’s a mess, and it’s because Microsoft is trying to be Apple. I don’t want that.
As for Steve Jobs, Mac fanboys swinging on his dick annoy the fuck outta me. He is a marketer. No more or less. Since I hate marketers, I’m no Jobs fan.
